Terms of service
Who we are
Pethost is run by Stephan Gomer, a sole proprietor registered in Poland (NIP 1133096755). In these terms “we” is Pethost and “you” is the person or the company that has an account. Write to us at support@pethost.dev.
What you get
A subscription rents you one virtual machine that only your account uses, with the CPU, the memory and the disk of your plan. Pethost's software runs on it: you, and the AI agents you approve, deploy Docker Compose projects to it through the web panel and the MCP server.
With it come a domain of your own under pethost.app, with any names under it, certificates for your sites, request logs and nightly backups, as your plan states.
Your account
- You are at least 18 and may enter into a contract.
- You keep your way of signing in to yourself.
- An agent you approve acts as you. What it does on your machine is yours to answer for, and you can revoke it in the panel's Settings at any time.
Paying
- A subscription is paid monthly, in advance, and renews every month until you cancel it. Its currency follows the country you buy from, and the checkout shows it: euros in the European Union. The price is stated without VAT or sales tax: where one applies to you, the checkout adds it.
- Payments are sold through Link, Stripe's merchant of record: its name is on your statement, and it sends your receipts. The checkout shows the full amount, with any tax, before you pay. Your card's details never reach us.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again. A subscription that ends because it was not paid ends the service.
- If we change a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time: the machine stays yours until the month you paid for ends. When we give money back, and how to withdraw from a purchase, is on the page Refunds and cancellation, which is part of these terms.
What you may not do
The machine is yours to run what you like, except:
- anything that is illegal where you are, in Poland, or where the machine stands, and content that is illegal to keep or to hand out;
- malware, phishing, and sites that pass themselves off as somebody else's;
- spam, in email or anywhere else;
- attacks on other systems: scanning their ports, looking for their weaknesses, breaking in, denial of service;
- what you have no right to publish or share, and file sharing over BitTorrent and the like;
- open proxies and Tor exit nodes;
- load for its own sake: mining cryptocurrency, and anything else that keeps the processor busy without serving a project of yours;
- breaking out of the containers your projects run in, tampering with Pethost's software, getting around the machine's limits, or reaching for other customers' machines or for ours;
- anything else that makes the data centre act against the machine, or puts its address on a blocklist.
If you break these rules, we may stop a project or the whole machine. We write to you first when we can; where the harm goes on meanwhile, we act at once and write afterwards.
For a serious breach, or one that repeats, we may end your subscription at once. What is left of the month you paid for is then not refunded: it goes towards what the breach cost us.
Your data
What you put on the machine is yours. We do not look into it, except to keep the machine running and safe, to help you when you ask, or when the law makes us. The privacy policy says what we keep about you and who else handles it.
Backups are made every night as your plan states. They are a safety net, not a promise: keep your own copy of whatever you cannot afford to lose.
When the service ends
When your subscription ends, your domain under pethost.app stops answering, and we erase the machine and delete its backups within 30 days. Take what you need before then. We keep the domain for you, should you subscribe again, and never give it to someone else.
Availability
We work to keep your machine and the panel running, and we do not promise that they never stop. A machine restarts now and then for updates. Some outages are outside our control, such as those of the data centre.
Your domain under pethost.app
The domain is ours, and lent to you while you subscribe. You may change it a limited number of times: the names under the old one then stop answering, and the old one is never given to anyone again. We may refuse a domain, or take one back, when it misleads people, infringes somebody's rights, or is used against these terms.
Our liability
We answer in full for harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence. For anything else, as far as the law allows, we answer for no more than what you paid us in the twelve months before the harm, and not for lost profit or for data you could have kept a copy of.
If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.
Changes
We may change the service and these terms. When a change matters to you, we tell you by email at least 14 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Law and complaints
Polish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the rules of your own country that cannot be set aside by contract.
Send a complaint to support@pethost.dev: we answer within 14 days.
