# Hosting providers with an official MCP server in 2026: deploy, logs and rollback compared

By the Pethost team · 25 September 2026 · Updated 5 October 2026 · 10 min read

You want your coding agent to deploy an app, read its logs when it breaks and roll back a bad version, and you ask which hosting providers have an official MCP server. In October 2026 almost all do: 18 of the 19 platforms we read. Most can start a deploy and read some logs, two have a rollback tool, and Pethost's 13 tools do the whole job, a restore from a backup included, for €9.99 a month.

**In short**

- **An official MCP server:** 18 of 19 platforms, and Pethost. Northflank has none that we found.
- **Remote, with OAuth:** Pethost, Railway, Render, Vercel, Heroku, DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, Google Cloud Run, Sevalla, Sliplane. **Local, or with a token to copy:** Fly.io, Koyeb, Dokploy, Coolify.
- **Rollback as a tool:** Pethost, Vercel, Dokploy. **Restore as a tool:** Pethost, for any project; Sliplane, for its managed Postgres.
- **Tools:** from 2 (Cloudflare, Sevalla) to 508 (Dokploy). Pethost has 13, and one call waits for a deploy.
- **Price:** Pethost Starter is €9.99 a month for 2 vCPU, 3 GB and 30 GB, the MCP server included; 3 GB of always-on memory is $30.00 at Railway's rates and $39.00 on Render's instances.

## Which hosting providers have an official MCP server in 2026

We read each vendor's documentation on 5 October 2026 and, where it lists no tools, the server's source. Remote means an address the agent connects to; local, a process on your computer.

**Official MCP servers and what an agent can do through each, 5 October 2026**

| Host | Server and sign-in | Deploy | Logs | Rollback | Restore a backup |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Pethost | Remote, OAuth in the browser: `mcp.pethost.dev/mcp` | Yes: a directory or a GitHub repository | Container logs and every HTTP request | Yes: an earlier commit or deploy | Yes: any night of the last 14 |
| Railway | Remote, OAuth or the CLI's login: `mcp.railway.com`. Also local | Yes | Hosted: through Railway's agent. Local: `get_logs` | None | None |
| Render | Remote, OAuth or an API key: `mcp.render.com/mcp` | Yes, from a Git repository | App, build and request logs | None | None |
| Fly.io | Local, flyctl's login, “[experimental]”: `fly mcp server` | Partly: a Machine from a built image | App logs | None | None |
| Heroku | Remote, OAuth: `mcp.heroku.com/mcp`. Local, CLI or API key | Local: yes. Remote: creates an app | Local: app logs | None | None |
| DigitalOcean App Platform | Remote, OAuth or an API token: a server for each product | Yes, from a Git repository | None | None | None |
| Vercel | Remote, OAuth: `mcp.vercel.com` | Yes: from Git or files | Runtime logs, build output | Yes: `request_rollback` | None |
| Netlify | Remote, a Netlify login. Also local | Yes: `deploy-site` | None | None | None |
| Cloudflare Workers | Remote, OAuth or an API token: `mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp` | No tool: API calls through `execute` | On its Observability and Workers Builds servers | None | None |
| Google Cloud Run | Remote, OAuth 2.0 with IAM: `run.googleapis.com/mcp`. Also local | Yes: an image, an archive or files | Local only: `get-service-log` | None | None |
| Koyeb | Local, an API token, “beta pre-release” | Yes: a directory | Build or runtime logs | None | None |
| Northflank | None found: a skill for its CLI and API | None | None | None | None |
| Sevalla | Remote, OAuth: `mcp.sevalla.com/mcp` | Through `execute` | Through `execute` | Through `execute` | Through `execute`: databases |
| Coolify | Remote on your instance, an API token | Partly: redeploys an existing app | Container logs, 500 lines | None | None |
| Dokploy | Local, an API key | Yes | Yes | Yes: `rollback-rollback` | None by name |
| Sliplane | Remote, OAuth or an API key: `mcp.sliplane.io` | Yes | Service logs, 500 lines | None | Managed Postgres only |

“Through `execute`” means one tool runs code the agent writes against the vendor's API. AWS, Azure, Zeabur and Replit have official servers too: on AWS the agent writes Python for `aws___run_script`, and on Replit a deploy is a prompt to Replit's own agent.

## Deploy, logs and rollback: what each official MCP server's tools do

### Railway MCP server: your agent asks Railway's agent

The hosted server's `railway-agent` tool hands “a natural-language request to Railway's AI agent for multi-step operations like log analysis, debugging, and service configuration”. A logs tool of its own, `get_logs`, is in the local server, `railway mcp local`. Neither list names a rollback.

### Render MCP server: three kinds of logs, no rollback

`list_logs` reads app, build and request logs; request logs need a Pro workspace, $25 a month. Three update tools return only “a link to the service's settings in the Render Dashboard”, and for a rollback Render's docs say to “use the Render Dashboard or REST API”.

### Vercel MCP: deployments, logs and a rollback

`get_runtime_logs` returns up to 1,000 entries, and `request_rollback` points production traffic “to a previous production deployment by ID”. The server is for what Vercel hosts: front ends and functions that run per request. Only AI clients “reviewed and approved by Vercel” connect.

### Netlify, DigitalOcean App Platform and Google Cloud Run: deploy, no logs

A checklist in the source of Netlify's server leaves “rollback/deploy selection” and “builds - why did it fail” unticked. DigitalOcean's App Platform server and Cloud Run's remote one deploy, and have no tool for logs.

### Fly.io, Heroku and Koyeb MCP servers: deploys, logs and releases

`fly mcp server` is flyctl's commands as tools, marked “[experimental]”: none does `fly launch` or `fly deploy`, and `fly-apps-releases` only lists releases. Heroku's local server has `deploy_to_heroku` and `get_app_logs`. Koyeb's lists “cancel deployment” as planned.

### Cloudflare and Sevalla: two tools and code the agent writes

Cloudflare's API server reaches “over 2,500 endpoints” through `search()` and `execute()`: the agent writes JavaScript that calls the API. Sevalla's does the same over an API that has a rollback and a database restore: reachable as code the agent composes, not as a tool with a description.

### Coolify and Dokploy: an official MCP server on a server you run

Coolify's is built into the panel since v4.1.0 of May 2026, and most of its tools read: it redeploys and restarts an application that exists, and creates none. Dokploy's “exposes all Dokploy API endpoints as tools”, its rollback described as “POST /rollback.rollback”. Under either, the server stays yours to update and back up: see [the self-hosted panels compared](https://pethost.dev/blog/coolify-vs-dokploy-vs-caprover-vs-dokku/) and [Coolify Cloud vs Dokploy Cloud](https://pethost.dev/blog/coolify-cloud-vs-dokploy-cloud/).

## An MCP server designed for agents, or an API handed to them

An agent pays for a server twice: the tool list is sent to the model with the conversation, and every answer is read as tokens.

**Tools in each official MCP server. Counts marked * are ours, from the vendor's list or source**

| Server | Tools |
| --- | --- |
| Dokploy | 508 |
| Vercel | 213* |
| Sliplane | 77* |
| Fly.io | 60* |
| Railway, local | 47* |
| Coolify | 45* |
| Heroku, local | 32* |
| Render | 26* |
| Koyeb | 15* |
| Pethost | 13 |
| Railway, hosted | 11* |
| DigitalOcean App Platform | 7 |
| Google Cloud Run, remote | 5 |
| Cloudflare API | 2 |
| Sevalla | 2 |

The longest lists hold a tool for each API route. Dokploy's README: “Some MCP clients and LLM providers can be slower or less reliable when very large tool lists are sent to the model.” The shortest give the agent the API to program: a tool for each endpoint would take Cloudflare's server “~244k tokens vs ~1k tokens”. Pethost's 13 each do one clear thing, and the [API reference](https://pethost.dev/docs/api/) states their rules:

- **Answers sized for a model.** A response holds about 64 KiB at most; a cut list says so and pages. Logs are filtered by service and text, requests by path, method and status.
- **Errors that say what to do next.** `NOT_FOUND` lists what exists, `INVALID_ARGUMENT` names the field and what it takes, and a refused [compose.yaml](https://pethost.dev/blog/managed-docker-compose-hosting/) comes back as `violations`, each saying what to write instead.
- **One call that waits for a deploy.** `CreateProject` and `DeployProject` wait up to 45 seconds and answer with the project as it then is: its URL, its services' states, its problems. For a longer build `GetOperation` waits on.

## A debugging session and a rollback through Pethost's MCP server

A shop deploys from GitHub, and one morning its checkout breaks. [A coding agent](https://pethost.dev/blog/hosting-for-ai-coding-agents/) finds the cause in three calls:

Claude Code

**You say:** Checkout has been failing since this morning. Find out why.

- QueryHttpTraffic POST /api/checkout: 38 of 41 requests answered 500, the first at 09:14
- QueryContainerLogs api: column "coupon" of relation "orders" does not exist
- ListCommits a3f9c1e add coupons, deployed 09:12 · 7be02d4 add search

**The agent answers:** Checkout answers 500 since the deploy of 09:12. “Add coupons” reads a coupon column the database does not have, so its migration has not run. Shall I run it, or go back to “add search”?

The first call said which path fails, the second why, the third which deploy brought it. The rollback is one call:

Claude Code

**You say:** Go back, and check that checkout works.

- DeployProject commit 7be02d4: succeeded, web and api running
- QueryHttpTraffic POST /api/checkout, last 5 minutes: 6 requests, all 200

**The agent answers:** Back on “add search”, and checkout answers 200 again. The database was not touched, and pushes will not deploy until you turn auto-deploy back on.

Had the bad version damaged data, `RunProjectAction` restores a nightly snapshot, after backing the project up first. Postgres here is a container in the project and in that backup: not a managed database with point-in-time recovery.

**What the agent reads is what you see.** The panel shows what `QueryHttpTraffic` answers with: a project's busiest paths with their response times, and each single request.

![A project's requests in the Pethost panel: its ten busiest paths with share, count and response times, and the log of single requests under them.](https://pethost.dev/shots/traffic.webp)

## What €9.99 a month buys, the MCP server included

The MCP server comes with every plan. On Starter, €9.99 a month without VAT, what its tools read is already running:

- **2 vCPU, 3 GB, 30 GB** a machine nobody shares
- **13** MCP tools, and a skill that teaches the agent
- **30 days** of request logs to query
- **14 nights** of backups to restore

HTTPS addresses, a deploy on every push to GitHub, SSH into any container and security updates are in the price too: the best value we found for an agent's projects. There is no free tier.

An agent creates things, so it matters what each one costs. On Render `create_web_service` takes a `plan`, and every service is a line on the bill: $7 a month for 512 MB. On Pethost the agent “cannot pay for anything or change your account”: the machine is the limit, and with [no usage-based billing](https://pethost.dev/blog/paas-without-usage-based-billing/) the next project adds nothing to the bill while it fits.

**Starter's 3 GB of always-on memory at each platform's own plan prices, a month. Bars compare at €1 = $1.1204, the ECB's reference rate of 5 October 2026**

| Host | Price a month |
| --- | --- |
| Pethost Starter | €9.99 |
| Fly.io | $20.10 |
| Railway | $30.00 |
| DigitalOcean App Platform | $30.00 |
| Sevalla | $30.00 |
| Sliplane | €28.80 |
| Northflank | $32.40 |
| Koyeb | $35.07 |
| Render | $39.00 |
| Heroku | $42.00 |

Railway's figure is memory alone, with CPU, disk and traffic on top; Fly.io's is three 1 GB Machines in Ashburn ($23.19 in Frankfurt), before volumes and a database; Sliplane's is its 4 GB server, the first that holds 3 GB; Koyeb's counts its $29 plan. On a server you rent for Coolify or Dokploy an agent also has root over SSH, where one wrong command takes down the proxy; and the 2 vCPU, 4 GB server Hetzner does sell, CPX22, is €19.49 a month: its cheap range has long been out of stock, hardware bought before the RAM shortage. [Railway vs Render vs Fly.io pricing](https://pethost.dev/blog/railway-vs-render-vs-fly-io-pricing/) has the plans; [Grow](https://pethost.dev/#pricing) doubles the machine for €17.99.

## Who Pethost is for

### Pethost is the best pick for

- **People who build with Claude Code, Codex or Cursor** and want the agent to deploy, debug and roll back what it wrote
- **Solo developers with several side projects**: one machine, one bill, a project for every idea
- **Early startups** that want a fixed bill no agent can raise
- **Developers tired of looking after a server**: the updates, certificates and backups are done

### Look elsewhere if

- Your application needs several regions, autoscaling or a managed database with replicas: here one machine is the limit

## Questions

### Which hosting providers have an official MCP server in 2026?

Of 19 platforms we read in October 2026, 18 do: Railway, Render, Fly.io, Heroku, DigitalOcean, Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare, Google Cloud Run, AWS, Azure, Koyeb, Sevalla, Coolify, Dokploy, Sliplane, Zeabur and Replit. Pethost's has 13 tools that deploy, read logs and requests, roll back and restore a backup.

### Can the official Railway MCP server deploy, read logs and roll back?

It deploys: the hosted server at mcp.railway.com has `create-project`, `accept-deploy` and `redeploy`. Logs go through `railway-agent`, Railway's own AI agent, or the local server's `get_logs`. Neither tool list names a rollback.

### What tools does the official Render MCP server have?

26 by our count of its README: they create web services, static sites and cron jobs from a Git repository, trigger deploys, and read app, build and request logs with `list_logs`. None rolls back: Render's docs name the Dashboard or the REST API for that.

### Does the Vercel MCP server have tools for deployments, logs and rollback?

Yes: `create_deployment`, `get_runtime_logs`, `list_deployment_events` and `request_rollback`, among 213 tools by the sum of its tools page. None is for backups, and only AI clients Vercel has approved connect.

### Is there an official Fly.io MCP server?

Yes, inside the CLI: `fly mcp server`, marked “[experimental]”, runs on your computer with flyctl's credentials. It runs a Machine from an existing image and reads app logs; it has no tool for `fly deploy` or for a rollback.

### Do Northflank, Koyeb, Coolify and Dokploy have an official MCP server?

Koyeb, Coolify and Dokploy do; Northflank has none that we found. Koyeb's is a local beta, Coolify's mostly reads, and Dokploy's has “508 tools across 49 categories”, a rollback among them.
